Open to female and males, 11 - 17 years of age.

Proof of age must be submitted with application. (copy of Birth certificate, status card etc)

Single performers only. There will be no duets allowed.

Registration fees must be paid in full, prior to rehearsals.

Rehearsals and use of the back up band are mandatory.

If you wish to have a back up person, they will be required to rehearse with you. Each contestant is allowed to use only one person as backup.

Anyone under the influence of prohibited substances will not be permitted to compete. Any registration fee paid in advance, will not be refunded.

Contestants are required to appear in the order that their names are drawn prior to the time of the Showcase.

There will be a 15 minute grace time for each contestant. If a contestant fails to show after the grace period, they will be disqualified from the show.

Each contestant will be required to submit a tape of the song (2nd choice included) of which they wish to perform. The tape will be required to be submitted one week prior to the date of the Showcase. (This will give the backup band ample time to chart the music and be prepared for rehearsal)

This is a Country Talent Showcase, therefore contestants must perform a country song, no exceptions will be made.

JUDGING
The first 15 paid registered contestants will have priority over a song. The same song cannot be entered by another contestant.

Only songs rehearsed by the contestant will be judged. A list of songs will be provided to the judges. In the event that a contestant changes a song at the scheduled time of performance they will be disqualified.

Contestants are allowed one start only. Should the back up band make an error, the contestant will be given another chance to start, judging will be based on the latter.

Judging shall be based on stage presence, voice quality, audience response, presentation and originality.

In the event that there is a tie between contestants, the contestants shall be required to perform another song. If another tie should result, the two prizes will be split equally between them. (ie. First and second place )

Judge’s decision will be final.
