Rules & RegulationsCoed Peewee / Ladies Fastball Tournament RULES FOUND IN THE 2003 SOFTBALL CANADA OFFICIAL GUIDE & RULE BOOK WILL BE USED INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING: 1.) The tournament is opened to males born in 1990/89 and females born in 1998 and down. Any coach or player suspended by his league or provincial body will not be eligible to play. 2.) All players must pay a fee of $5.00 to take part in the fastball tournament, before they can play.
3.) The tournament will be coed with the following modifications: 4.) All players under 18 must have the consent form signed by parents or guardians. 5.) All games will be 5 innings long or 75 minutes long whichever comes first. Teams up by ten after three complete innings wins. If the game is tied after five innings, the international rule will come into effect. 6.) Teams must have at 8 players to start a game. Less than 8 will result in a default. If a team has 8 players and a player loss due to injury, that team will be allowed to continue under normal circumstances just for that game only. 7.) Teams will be given a 15 minute grace period, if team cannot field 8 players the team will lose by default. Please ensure that all teams are ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled game, games may run ahead of shedule. Thank You. 8.) Players will not be allowed to wear metal cleats, this includes the pitcher. 9.) Team uniforms are recommended, but not necessary. 10.) Helmets are mandatory for batters, runners, catchers, on deck batters, and youth age players who coach in the first and third base coach's boxes. 11.) Any kind of protest must be submitted in writing and a protest fee of $500.00 (non-refundable) to the umpire before the next legal or illegal pitch in the next game.
