Rules & Regulations


T-Ball


1.) There will be no entry fee, however all teams must submit a team roster which will include date of birth and individual registration form before playing.

2.) The tournament will be a double knockout, team limit of ten teams (up to date wins in the league) advancing to the next round.

3.) Prizes: Individual trophies will be given out, Best in field, Best out field, Fair play, and MVP all participants will receive ribbons of participation.

4.) Boys and girls ages 8 years and under may participate in this tournament but they must be the age of 8 years old by July 1, of the relative year.

5.) Teams must have the following age group on the field at all times.
    A) Three (6) year olds or younger
    B) Four (7) year olds or younger
    C) Three (8) year olds or younger
    D) Out of these 10 (5) must be girls

6.) There will be 3 out per inning to each team, then switch or only one round of the batting order, whichever comes first.

7.) Coaches must announce their last batter. Last batter must try and beat the ball hom. If the ball runs out of play, only one base will be awarded as the ball falls out of play.

8.) Batter is out when a third strike if called including an uncaught foul ball hit after two strikes.

9.) Force plays are on the first base and home base. If there is no force play at second or third, base runners must be tagged to be put out.

10.) All games are 4 innings long or a time limit of 90 minutes (a full inning must be completed.)

11.) On a caught fly ball, the play is dead and runners will return to their bases without being put out.

12.) No lead offs or stealing bases allowed.

13.) One base will be awarded on an overthrow, out of bounds.

14.) Play is dead when:
    A) The umpire calls time
    B) When a fly ball is caught
    C) When defence players throw the ball across home plate, unless there is a play being made at home. Result of a dead-ball - Everyone must return to their bases, all play is stopped - no runs will score.

15.) Boy and girl must alternate batting order.

16.) No player will be allowed on enter 20' radius of the home plate, when a batter is up to bat; but can do so when the ball has been contacted by the batter (umpire will determine)

17.) The distance between the bases is 50 feet.

18.) If an umpire feels that coaches and spectators are to harsh on their team players the coach or spectators will be warned. If the abuse continues the umpire will call game in favor of the opposing team.

19.) The TYBD portest mandate is in effect for thisi event.
